Get Glad
I’m sure we all have heard the popular commercial about “getting glad”. While that commercial is a play on words, as Saints, we really should get glad!
Psalm 16:8-9 AMP
I have set the Lord continually before me;
Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
Therefore my heart is glad and my glory [my innermost self] rejoices;
My body too will dwell [confidently] in safety,
Psalm 21:5-6 AMP
His glory is great because of Your victory;
Splendor and majesty You bestow upon him.
For You make him most blessed [and a blessing] forever;
You make him joyful with the joy of Your presence.
As we read, it’s when you’re focused on the Lord you have the opportunity to be glad because of His Presence. His Presence brings joy and liberty!
Psalm 16:11 AMP
You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.
2 Corinthians 3:17 AMP
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty [emancipation from bondage, true freedom].
But notice how the joy you feel in His Presence is predicated on you the way you behave. Are your actions setting you up to accept the gladness in the Lord? If you are one who complains, worries, walks in anger and strife, etc., you most definitely will eliminate the presence of God in your life, and the subsequent gladness and joy.
So I implore you, get glad! Allow spiritual gladness to flow in your life and live uprightly.
