Remind Me of a Brand New Song to Sing

“He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; many will see and fear [with great reverence]” (Psalm 40:3 AMP).

The other night, I was led into prayer and was overcome by the Spirit. I lay in a prostrate position while speaking profusely in tongues. For those of you who are unaware of what tongues are, it is a spiritual gift—a heavenly language. Having the gift of tongues is evidence of being baptized in the Holy Spirit (see Acts 2:4). While praying in tongues, I began to sing praises to the Lord. I kept singing a particular song over and over again.

The following morning, I woke up with the song on my mind. I could only recall the words that were spoken naturally. Those words were as follows: 'Holy, holy, holy… Lord God Almighty… holy, holy, holy… glory, glory, glory.' I desperately wanted to recall the words spoken in tongues. Little did I know, the Father would bring the song back to me. Later that evening, I was led into prayer again. I lay in a prostrate position and began to groan. The groaning (in the same way the Spirit [comes to us and] helps us in our weakness; we do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but the Spirit Himself [knows our need and, at the right time] intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groanings too deep for words. Romans 8:26 AMP) later turned into humming. I recognized the tune of the humming and began to sing;

“Holy, holy, holy, eh-shaw-nee [tongue]. Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty. Glory, glory, glory, eh-shaw-nee [tongue].”

As I am writing this to you all, Revelation 4:8-11 comes to mind:

“HOLY, HOLY, HOLY [is the] LORD GOD, THE ALMIGHTY [the Omnipotent, the Ruler of all], WHO WAS AND WHO IS AND WHO IS TO COME [the unchanging, eternal God].”

Brothers and sisters, sing praises to the Lord our God. As you do, I pray that He gives you a new song to sing.
