Yeilding to the Lord

One of the things that the Holy Spirit has put on my heart recently is pausing to take a breath and give more attention to Him. Things can get hectic, especially in a season where many changes are going on and taking place. Being still is important because it is when you can hear His voice the clearest. It's so easy to get stuck into a routine and sometimes He has to put us to a halt in order to get our attention fully focused back on Him.

Habakkuk 2:1 KJV
" I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved."
In this story, the prophet Habakkuk is waiting for the Lord to answer questions about why evil seems to triumph over righteousness. The Lord reassures Habakkuk that the wicked Babylonian nation shall be judged for its actions. However, the righteous must stand in faith and wait on the Lord to bring about His will. Amid all of the things that keep us wondering when God will act, it is important to remember that God is with us through it all, from beginning to end. Psalm 1:2-3 states as believers must meditate on the word of God and wait on Him.

Hebrews 13:5 AMP
"Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support."

Deuteronomy 31:6 (AMP) says:
"Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble in dread before them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not fail you or abandon you.”

Psalm 37:7  NIV
"Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways when they carry out their wicked schemes."

Even during times when you feel stuck or you are waiting for the Lord to move on your behalf, do not be alarmed. God has a plan for you, so you shouldn't feel heavy ladened or frustrated when He doesn't seem to go at the pace you want Him to go. Remember, His timing is everything.

Go in peace, Beloved.
