Equal in the Eyes of God
"How does it feel to be God’s favorite?" or "I’m God’s favorite" are two phrases I’ve heard so many times, I’ve lost count. What most people don’t understand is that the Lord does not have favorites—we are all equal in His eyes.
"For God shows no partiality [no arbitrary favoritism; with Him one person is not more important than another]. For all who have sinned without the Law will also perish without [regard to] the Law, and all who have sinned under the Law will be judged and condemned by the Law."
(Romans 2:11–12 AMP)
"For the Lord your God is the God of gods and the Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, the awesome God who does not show partiality nor take a bribe."
(Deuteronomy 10:17 AMP)
Brothers and sisters, let us not think we are more important than one another. We are all called to the same standard: “Be holy, for I am holy” (Leviticus 21:8). And we will all be judged the same. Just as the Lord extends grace to you, He extends the same grace to everyone else.
Therefore, let us encourage one another—because we all matter.
