Ponder This

In ministry, it is for certain that you will come across people at varying levels in their spiritual growth.

But there seems to always be that one, that no matter how much prayer, how much effort, and how much love you show them, they still seem to walk contrary to the scriptures and live to fulfill the lusts of their flesh.

Not fully grasping nor understanding that according to Roman’s 7:18, For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing:...

But you still try. You still try to disciple them by walking with them in love. And although we see in the scriptures that Jesus said, in Matthew 10:14, And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.

The more we invest of ourselves into others, the harder it becomes to walk away from them. And thankfully, we don’t have to so easily walk away from lost souls. However, there does come a time when we have done all we can do and said all we can say. Therefore, when you have done all you can do to win a soul, and they are still given to their own flesh, what do you say to them while you are constantly and consistently praying for them?

Ponder this scripture:

Romans 8:13

13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

...but if by the Spirit...

There it is. If by THE Spirit, meaning, Holy Spirit, you put to death, the deeds of the body, meaning the flesh, then you WILL live!

Beloved, it’s as simple as that. What we ourselves cannot do to help ourselves, or help to others to put away the flesh, to crucify the flesh, we turn to Holy Spirit, to lead us and to guide us!

Romans 8:13, serves as a reminder that if we live by the flesh, we will die an eternal death. But if we live by the leading of Holy Spirit, and put our flesh to death, then we WILL have eternal life!

It’s just that simple!

God Bless you Beloved!
