With or Without You
In Esther 4:10, Queen Esther becomes aware of Haman’s plot against the Jews. Her cousin Mordecai urges Esther to go to the king and plead on behalf of her people. However, Esther initially responds to Mordecai with fear. She fears that if she approaches the king without being summoned, she will be put to death. Mordecai replies to her with the following words:
"13 Then Mordecai told them to reply to Esther, 'Do not imagine that you in the king’s palace can escape any more than all the Jews. 14 For if you remain silent at this time, liberation and rescue will arise for the Jews from another place, and you and your father’s house will perish [since you did not help when you had the chance]. And who knows whether you have attained royalty for such a time as this [and for this very purpose]?'” (Esther 4:13-14, AMP)
Brothers and sisters, do not miss your window of opportunity to carry out the Lord’s will. Whether you are willing or not, the Lord’s plan will be fulfilled—with or without you. Scripture tells us that the Lord will supply all our needs according to His riches and glory (Philippians 4:19). The Lord will provide everything we need to execute His will. Therefore, we should not let fear, doubt, pride, or any other obstacle hinder our calling. Be mindful of the calling the Lord has placed upon you, and remember: it is better to be a vessel the Lord can use than one that cannot be used at all.
Go in peace.
